The record nobody keeps · fictional companies

The problem.

Every CRM needed someone to type. So nobody did.

Your CRM shows the last time someone remembered to update it. The pipeline is a guess. The portfolio is a snapshot from a quarter you’ve already forgotten.

Scattered across every inbox

The last call with Halcyon Grid is in one partner’s inbox. The deck lives in a Drive folder. The runway in your model came from an email nobody tagged. The record is everywhere and nowhere.

One live, sourced record

Kept reads that call, that deck, that email. It writes the record and links every figure to where it came from: runway of 18 months, traced to the Q3 update Halcyon Grid sent on 14 October.

Record. Sources. Signals.

Three things your CRM never managed to do

Kept keeps the record current, traces every number to its source, and tells you what needs attention before you have to ask.

The record stays current

Every email, meeting and update that touches a company flows into the record. No one enters data. The record just stays true.

Every number shows its source

Runway, ARR, headcount. Every figure in Kept links to the email, deck or update it came from. No number floats.

Kept tells you first

When a deal goes quiet, when runway tightens, when a meeting is coming up, Kept flags it before you have to chase it.

How it works.

Connect your tools.
Kept handles the record.

  1. 01

    Connect your channels.
    Takes two minutes.

Link Gmail and Google Calendar, then Google Meet and Slack when you’re ready, and forward WhatsApp notes to Kept. Exclude any label, domain or channel. No migration project.

    Kept organises it.
    Sources stay attached.

Kept reads each message, meeting and document against the companies in your record. It extracts the numbers, links each one to its source and writes the update. Current within an hour.

    You correct once.
    The fix holds.

When Kept gets something wrong, fix it in the record and say why. The correction sticks, and Kept reads it your way next time.

Kept read 22 months of runway. You corrected it to 18, because their number leaves out the bridge note.

FAQ.

Questions, answered

Do I have to replace my current CRM on day one?

No. Most firms run Kept alongside what they already have at first. Kept reads from day one and builds the record as new work comes in, so there is nothing to migrate. We don’t force a switch, and you can export everything as CSV or JSON at any time.

What does Kept actually read?

Gmail threads, Google Calendar invites, Google Meet transcripts, the Slack channels you connect, WhatsApp notes you forward to Kept, and the decks and founder updates that arrive through them. You choose which to enable and can exclude labels, domains and channels. Kept reads only what you allow.

Will Kept change data without asking?

Kept adds new information with its source attached. It never overwrites something you entered or edited without showing you the exact change and waiting for you to confirm. And when you correct a figure, the correction holds.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Kept is in early access, so start by requesting access. When your access is ready, every plan begins with a free trial, for firms and for founders, so you can connect your inbox and see your record fill in before you pay.

How much does Kept cost after the trial?

Kept is priced per firm, not per seat. Solo is $99 a month for one person, Team is $349 a month for up to 5 people, and Fund, for teams of more than 5 or firms that need MCP access and row-level permissions, is priced with you, so talk to us. Raise is free for founders whose investor is on Kept, and $19 a month otherwise, cancel anytime. Firms that join during early access keep early-access pricing for their first 24 months, including on upgrades, as long as their subscription stays active. Prices in USD, excluding tax.
