About Kept

Kept is the AI-native system of record for venture firms and founders raising. A firm record that stays current on its own.

Kept is a firm record that stays current on its own. Most venture firms track deals and portfolio companies in a mix of spreadsheets, notes and email threads that nobody has time to reconcile. Kept reads from the accounts your team already uses, pulls what matters into a structured record, and links every field back to its source. It is designed for the way small firms actually work.

What Kept does

Keeps the firm’s record current

Kept connects to Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, WhatsApp and Slack and reads new information as it arrives. When a founder sends an update or a term sheet lands in your inbox, the record reflects it without anyone logging it.

Shows the source of every field

Every number, date and name in Kept links to the email, meeting or document it came from. If a figure looks wrong, you can open the source and see exactly where it originated.

Prepares you for meetings

Before a partner meeting or founder call, Kept brings together the latest updates, open questions and co-investor history for that company. The brief reflects where the relationship actually stands, not what was written down six weeks ago.

Tracks deals and portfolio companies

Kept holds your pipeline and your portfolio in the same record. You can see which deals are active, where each one stands, what changed since you last looked, and which ones have gone quiet.

What makes Kept different

Built around venture work

Kept is not a generic CRM with investment fields added. It is built around deals, rounds, founders, co-investors, intros and portfolio metrics like ARR, runway and headcount.

Starts with the work already happening

Most tools ask your team to maintain a parallel record next to the real work. Kept reads from what your team already does, so the record reflects real activity rather than what someone remembered to enter.

Keeps evidence next to every number

A figure in a spreadsheet carries no history. In Kept, every figure sits next to the document or message that produced it, and corrections keep the reason you gave.

Opens the record to your own AI tools

On the Fund plan, Kept supports MCP, so tools like Claude and ChatGPT, or your own agents, can query your firm’s record with the same permissions. See Kept for developers.

Who Kept is for

Kept is built for seed to Series A firms, micro-VCs, emerging managers, angel syndicates and family-office venture teams of roughly 2 to 20 people who want a clean firm record without the overhead of enterprise software. Founders who are raising can use it too, to run their investor pipeline and updates in the same system.

Frequently asked questions

Which accounts can my team connect?

Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Meet, WhatsApp and Slack. You can exclude Gmail labels, email domains and specific chats, and disconnect any source at any time.

How much does Kept cost?

Kept is in early access, by request, and priced per firm rather than per seat: Emerging is $149 a month for up to 3 people, Firm is $449 a month for up to 10, and Fund, for teams of more than 10, is priced with you: talk to us. Raise for founders is $19 a month. Firms that join during early access keep early-access pricing for life, including on upgrades, as long as their subscription stays active. See pricing.

How does Kept handle firm data?

You choose what Kept reads, set permissions per record, and can export everything as CSV or JSON at any time. Kept never overwrites something you entered without showing the change and waiting for you to confirm. More on the Security page.
