Security and your data

How Kept handles your data: confirm before any change, you choose what's read, permissions per record, sources on every field, export anytime.

Your record stays yours. Kept connects to your communication and turns it into a record, but it does not overwrite your work without asking, and it does not read what you have chosen to keep out.

Kept confirms before it changes anything

Kept never overwrites something you entered or edited without showing you the exact change and waiting for you to confirm. You review it, accept it, edit it or dismiss it. The software does the reading. You make the call.

You choose what Kept reads

When you connect a source, you decide how much of it Kept can see. Exclude Gmail labels so a folder of personal email stays private. Exclude email domains so correspondence with a particular organisation is never read. Exclude specific WhatsApp or Slack chats. You can change exclusions or disconnect a source at any time.

Permissions per record

Decide who on the team can see each deal, company and note, so term sheet details or sensitive notes stay with the people who need them. The Fund plan adds row-level permissions. The same permissions apply when your AI tools query the record over MCP.

Every field shows its source

Every value Kept stores carries a source: the email, meeting, message or deck page it came from, or “you edited” when someone set it by hand. You never have to guess why a field says what it says.

Export anytime

Your data is not locked in. Export your whole record as CSV or JSON at any time, on every plan.
